Yasseen Mansour has been a driving force behind the growth of Palm Hills Developments. He serves as Chairman & Group CEO of the Board of Directors and has guided the company from its first projects in 1997 into a leading real estate player in Egypt.
Known from an early age amongst his family and friends to possess a strong business sense, from the onset of his career in 1986 at Mansour Motors Group, Mr. Mansour has led the companies he owns and presides over to new highs.
Philanthropic endeavors have always been a primary pursuit for Mr. Mansour. But what others do not know is that He is the co-founder and active member of Lead Foundation, a joint project with the World Bank that aims to support the development of SME's; an active board member of The National Cancer Institute, a member of the Takatof Association, CEO of Al-Mansour and Al-Maghraby Investment Company, which was incorporated in 1996 and is one of the largest private investment funds in Egypt. He is also a Board Member in Mantrac, Unatrac, Accor Hotels, as well as the largest media companies in Egypt, Man Capital and McDonald’s Egypt.
Hazem Badran has been the Co-CEO and Managing Director of Palm Hills Developments since mid-2021. Prior to joining Palm Hills Developments, Hazem Badran was CI Capital’s Co-CEO. Badran brings more than 22 years of experience in corporate finance and investment banking in the MENA region. During his most recent position, Badran played a significant role in turning around CI Capital to be the premium investment bank and financial services group in Egypt since he joined in January 2013. Prior to that, Badran had a nine-year career at EFG Hermes, where he played a notable role as a senior executive in growing the EFG Hermes franchise into the largest investment bank in the MENA region.
Badran held numerous key positions at EFG Hermes including CEO of EFG Hermes for the Levant, and Managing Director for Promotion Department and underwriting coverage.
Badran holds a BA in Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology and has completed courses in Investment Assessment, Project Finance and Risk Analysis at the Harvard Institute
Badran is a Board member of Taaleem Management Services and also chairs the Investments Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt.
Tarek Tantawy is Palm Hills Developments’ Co-CEO & Managing Director since mid-2021. During his career, he has successfully led companies to sales growth, business expansion, operational efficiency, and significant profitability. Tantawy combines experience and expertise to meet challenges through a proven track record of operational leadership, strategy development, team building, financial management, as well as relationship management.
Prior to joining Palm Hills Developments in June 2021, Tantawy held several senior roles in leading Egyptian companies, including CO-CEO and Managing Director of CI Capital and CEO and Managing Director of Telecom Egypt, Vice President and CFO of Telecom Egypt, CFO of IDJ-Beyti (a JV of Almarai & Pepsico), Vice President of the Investment Banking division at Sigma Capital, and Senior Consultant in the Corporate Finance division at FinRate Consulting.
Tantawy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Engineering from the American University in Cairo, Egypt, and an MBA from Edinburgh Business School in the United Kingdom, and is a CFA charter holder. He attended executive education programs in Kellogg Graduate School of Management in the United States and IESA Business School in Spain.
Ali Thabet has over 35 years of experience in the field of finance and accounting, 22 of which spent in Palm Hills Developments, when he first joined in the capacity of Vice President for Finance, Accounting and Administration, and was promoted to CFO in 2011.
Previously, Mr. Thabet ran his own office for Chartered Accounting and Financial Management Services.
He also acts a consultant for the Egyptian Society for Public Finances and Taxes.
Mr. Thabet holds a B.Sc. Commerce, as well as Auditing and Taxation High Diploma from Ain Shams University, and a MIBA (Master in International Business Administration) from the ESLSCA Business School.
With her wide reservoir of HR experience, human development, executive & transformational coaching, and business knowledge; Dr. El Bendary, acting as a strategic partner in organizations, has held various leading HR executive positions across a pool of diversified sectors. She was responsible for driving company’s human resources strategies and delivering global programs to create a positive employee experience and an engaging culture with high performance.
Having graduated from the American University in Cairo with a B.A. in Middle Eastern studies, Dr. El Bendary attained her Doctorate degree in Emotional Intelligence. Capitalizing on her vigorous experience in human development, Dr. El Bendary had been teaching Human Resources Management as well as Organization Behavior for MBA students in different reputable educational academies.
She is Certified Executive Professional Coach(PCC) from ICF- International Coaching Federation, USA. She became a Certified Director by attaining Corporate Directors Certification from the EIOD, the Egyptian Institute of Directors 2021.
She is a board member of Palm Sports Clubs & Palm for Mortgage Finance.
Prior to joining Palm Hills Developments in January 2008, Ahmed Atalla was the Co-Founder of GRID (Group of Integrated Design), the Chief Executive Officer of Good News Development, and a board member of the Metro Properties and Amaar Project Management Company. Atalla holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering, Cairo University, an MSc and MBA from Maastricht University.
Vice President Development – New Cairo & North Coast
Prior to joining Palm Hills Developments in 2010, Mahfouz worked as Projects' Manager for the First Gulf Bank "Property Development Department" Head Office-Abu Dhabi for five years, where he had successfully, completed and handed over a number of integrated and high profile projects.
Mahfouz holds B.Sc. Civil Engineering from Cairo University in 1984 & Professional Project Management (AUC) in 2000
With his wide experience in development & project management, Engineer Mohamed Behairy has held various leading executive positions across diversified development & construction sectors. After graduating from Faculty of Engineering in 1995 , Eng. Behairy had spectrum of studies in project management & other fields in management. Before joining PHD & managing UECC, PHD construction arm, Eng. Behairy presided over several companies in the capacity of Projects’ Director in Smart Villages company, Egyptian international Co. for Construction & Development & Egyptian Arab Contracting where he drived company’s project management strategy & leveraged industry standards for consistent repeatable quality delivery.
Alaa Arafa joined Palm Hills Developments in 2010, Brining 30 year extensive wealth of experience in Programme Management, Procurement Contract Administration, Project Planning & Cost Controls Systems including Financial Models Review. In addition, preparing projects procedures while arranging a broad range of development strategies, project control services on civil, commercial and residential projects, sewage, high rise towers, industrial, roads as well as various scopes relating to construction planning & management. Prior to joining Palm Hills, Eng. Arafa served in several managerial positions in leading multinational firms such as Bechtel, US ARMY Corps of Engineers, EBASCO, Wallace O’CONOR, ORASCOM/ CONTRACK, Kharafi National. Arafa holds B.SC Engineering from American University in Cairo 1985 & MBA in 2001 & is a member of WHO’S is WHO for professionals in 2000. Completed successfully project controls University program 1999.
Omar Mansour, PHD’s Vice President for Sales, has over 18 years of experience in sales, marketing, and communication. In his current capacity, Mansour heads PHD’s sales team and responsible through his role as an active member in PHD’s executive committee in setting go-to market strategy, corporate sales plans for residential and commercial projects and executing PHD’s sales strategy.
Prior to joining Palm Hills Developments in 2007, Mansour worked as a customer experience at ExxonMobil. Mansour holds Bs.c of IMC Marketing from the American University in Cairo, the University of Washington and master’s in business management from SDA-Bocconi, Italy, as well as several certifications in marketing, finance and real estate development and other topics from various reputable business schools.
Ashraf Khalil has been working at Palm Hills Developments for more than 19 years, bringing 36 years of extensive experience in engineering aspects of real estate projects, ensuring that they meet the development goals in addition to be innovatively designed to meet the target market requirements, quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
Prior to joining Palm Hills, Arch. Ashraf occupied managerial positions handling a diversity of residential and commercial projects in Al Gezira Real estate, Al Alamin for Development (Hacienda Red) and Shehab Mazhar Architects.
Ashraf holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cairo university, and he is a residential projects consultant.
Amr Zahran manages the technology department of Palm Hills Developments which includes IT and e-Compound services. He brings more than 25 years of experience in his field. During his career, he has successfully led companies to Digital Transformation and Technology Modernization to create best-in-class solutions that provide an unmatched user experience and substantial financial impact.
Prior to joining Palm Hills Developments, Zahran held several senior roles in several companies over the past decade in Egypt, UAE and Qatar. These roles include Vice President Digital Transformation & Customer Experience, Vice President IT CRM & Analytics at Etisalat UAE and Director Digital & Innovation at Etisalat Misr.
Amr holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Cairo University.
